Turned on the potter's wheel, made purely by hand by Andreas Riess. The glaze is applied by dipping and brushing. The material is stoneware. Form and glaze vary in the typical range of handmade products and make each copy unique.

You may wonder why the vessel's rim is unglazed. The unglazed rim allows the bowls to be stacked on top of each other in the kiln - rim to rim, bottom to bottom. This significantly increases the number of pieces per fire which in turn saves energy for the good of the environment.
